The YAKIMA DoubleHaul Fly Rod Carrier is one of three designs YAKIMA offers. They also offer a fly rod box and fly rod holder. But for the purpose of this comparison, the YAKIMA DoubleHaul most closely resembles the Ultimate Rod Case fly rod carriers. The YAKIMA DoubleHaul is a four rod fly fishing carrier capable of securing rods in length up to 10 feet long. The YAKIMA rod carrier is an individual rod carrier with tubing for each fly rod. The YAKIMA rod carrier is constructed from plastic-lined aluminum rod tubes and features a unique sideways rod and reel setting. The YAKIMA DoubleHaul comes in a powder coat black finish and is said to fit any vehicle’s specifications. While the YAKIMA DoubleHaul features several luxury and plush features, such as felt padding and thoughtful design specs, none can make up for the clear lack of durability when compared with the Ultimate Rod Case.
